As Thanksgiving approaches with its promises of family togetherness (and, yes, the customary gustatory overindulgence), we here at the Sofia Hotel want to take the opportunity to relay a little gratitude of our own.
We are so very appreciative of the business we receive from our beloved guests, both longtime friends and brand-new faces. You’re the reason we work so hard to maintain this grand, historically significant hotel to the very highest standard. Any visit to San Diego is full of wonders and delights, but we all strive to make sure the Sofia Hotel itself lingers long in your memory—and brings you back again and again!
Our customers never fail to energize and inspire us. One of the joys of running a hotel in a wonderfully multilayered city like San Diego is the vicarious pleasure we can take in seeing our patrons explore and experience the place we call home. Our guests don’t just remind us of the rewards of managing the Sofia: They remind us of San Diego’s special magic.
Of course, we’re nothing without our dedicated staff. So we raise another heartfelt toast to those loyal, hard-working people who keep the Sofia—and our exquisite restaurant, Currant American Brasserie—up and running, day in and day out.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving—we hope you celebrate with loved ones and reflect on all the people, places, and things in your life you hold dear. Perhaps the friendly faces and beautiful spaces of the Sofia Hotel are among them.
Meanwhile, here at the Sofia, we’ll certainly be giving thanks to all of our guests, customers, and staff who make this one-of-a-kind institution what it is!
